Chanuka

Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, celebrates the miraculous victory of the Maccabees and the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. It commemorates the miracle of the oil, which lasted eight days despite being enough for just one. Each night, we kindle the menorah, adding a new light to reflect hope, faith, and resilience. Chanukah is a time for gratitude, joy, and spreading light in the darkest of days.

Through videos and insights, we uncover the spiritual depth of Chanukah, linking its miracles to the wisdom of the Sefirot and inspiring us to bring their light into our lives and communities.

Hanukkah Candles

Chanukah is the Festival of Lights, where each night we add another light to the Chanukiah. In the following pages, you'll find eight thoughts, one for each night, along with an activity to match. As the nights progress, the activities increase, allowing for both individual and communal participation. Each lesson also includes sources and a song for those who wish to explore further. This Chanukah, let's share the light together.

The Real Meaning of Maoz Tzur

This Chanukah, I wanted to take a different approach by reflecting on the song "Maoz Tzur." While it recounts painful events in Jewish history, its cheerful melody offers a powerful contrast. Why such a joyful tune in the face of tragedy?

Join me in exploring this thought, paired with @kippalive's beautiful rendition.
