Two leaders of the free world visit two thousand potential leaders of the next generation. The magic was not in the eyes of the Prime Ministers, but the eyes of the children who hung on their every word. When Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull told them to be proud of their Jewish faith, they were proud. When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told them to be proud Jews, they were prouder still. And when 6 year olds giggled with their leaders labelling body parts in Hebrew, 10 year olds played Yerushalayim shel zahav, 14 year olds waved flags and extended their hands with pure joy and 18 year olds sung the anthems with absolute passion, we felt pride. Proud to be Australian, proud to stand with Israel and proud to continue the story of our miraculous people!
